• From 1979 to 1983, Jia graduated from Department of Law, Northwest University of Political Science and Law, with Bachelor of Laws;
• From 1983 to 1986, Jia graduated from Northwest University of Political Science and Law, with Master of Laws (Criminal Law major) and remained to teach after graduation;
• From 1992 to 1995, Jia obtained Doctor of Laws (in Criminal Law) from Wuhan University;
• 1992, Jia was exceptionally promoted to Associate Professor and postgraduate supervisor;
